In the early history of our congregation and in Synagogues over the world it was a tradition to auction or sell High Holiday Honors for money. The modern tradition at MMC is to contribute a donation for receiving an honor on the holidays or even Shabbat. Please consider carrying on this tradition with a donation for opening the ark, lifting, dressing or carrying the Torah, or leading the congregation in a blessing.
